two of us

these lyrics stir some strange familiarity....

Two of us riding nowhere Spending someone's Hard earned pay You and me Sunday driving Not arriving On our way back home We're on our way home We're on our way home We're going home Two of us sending postcards Writing letters On my wall You and me burning matches Lifting latches On our way back home We're on our way home We're on our way home We're going home You and I have memories Longer than the road that stretches out ahead Two of us wearing raincoats Standing so low In the sun You and me chasing paper Getting nowhere On our way back home We're on our way home We're on our way home We're going home You and I have memories Longer than the road that stretches out ahead Two of us wearing raincoats Standing solo In the sun You and me chasing paper Getting nowhere On our way back home We're on our way home We're on our way home We're going home We're going home Better believe it

all is a miracle

i spent the past week on the big island of hawaii, on the hilo side. what an amazing break from reality! granted i was working, running shows, confirming school reservations, etc.... but to have a few days away from every thing else. being given the chance to discuss thoughts, feelings, concepts with new, interesting, similar minded people.... refreshing. it gave me a new sense of solidity in my self. wants and needs i have been considering from so many angles now seem to be flashing the answers at me with neon signs!!!

thank goodness for hilo. :O)

“People usually consider walking on water or in thin air a miracle. But I think the real miracle is not to walk either on water or in thin air, but to walk on earth. Every day we are engaged in a miracle which we don't even recognize: a blue sky, white clouds, green leaves, the black, curious eyes of a child -- our own two eyes. All is a miracle.”

~Thich Nhat Hanh
